Jake and Amanda get proof that Amanda really did see Trevor at the hospital. Meanwhile, Angie convinces Randi that they have to do what's best for baby Trevor and contact the authorities to see if he does have parents out there. David threatens to kill Liza, who's forced to reveal the truth about everything Jake did. David is shocked to learn that Amanda and Jake faked his son's death. David vows revenge on Jake and Tad. David, Jake and Amanda all converge at the police station after seeing a televised report saying a missing baby had been found. A sympathetic Frankie comforts Randi, who misses Trevor. After learning all the details following Randi's blurt, Natalia tells Jesse she understands why he helped cover up North's murder and is proud of her father for the lengths he went to in order to protect his family. Erica, freshly returned from Africa, announces to Zach that she's moving in with him ostensibly to help with the boys but he knows it's really to keep Liza at bay. Kendall's stunned when Zach agrees to let Erica move in but he explains why he's doing so: It will make Kendall more careful to not be discovered. JR sees a specialist after Tad encourages him to fight his cancer.

David's former nurse, Gayle, calls David and lets him knowing that Jake and Amanda were in her bar the other day asking where Amanda's baby is. David puts it together that his baby is still alive. David demands answers from Liza as he holds a gun on her. Liza agrees to tell him everything - essentially admitting his baby is alive. Randi overhears Frankie and Natalia talking about how they need to bring the baby to the authorities. She takes off for Jesse and Angie's, where she reveals how she found the baby. Randi panics when Angie, Frankie and Jesse insist they have to take the baby to the authorities and reveals the truth about North's murder to Natalia. Angie gives JR the devastating news that he has a rare form of lymphoma.Later, Adam accuses JR of falling off the wagon when he acts odd, but JR doesn't tell him about the cancer. Marissa is moved when she overhears JR talking to Little A at Babe's grave. Marissa makes a comment to JR about his being around a long, long time which guys JR knowing he was just diagnosed with cancer. Zach begins to work Annie. Scott confirms to Adam and Annie that Zach's loan is seemingly on the up and up. Liza tells Zach she wants to quit Kendall's case, but Zach refuses to let her (and Marissa encourages her not to), despite Liza's feeling for Zach. Zach tells Kendall that Liza almost quit the case. Kendall's happy, but Zach explains any other lawyer would want to visit Kendall in jail and would realize she's not there. A mysterious figure enters Kendall's house - will she be discovered?

Frankie tells Randi to meet him at the hospital when she alerts him to the fact the baby has spiked a fever. Amanda sees Trevor at the hospital but Randi and Frankie take off before she can find Jake and get to her son. Frankie realizes he and Randi can't keep the baby a secret forever. Natalia continues to put pressure on Frankie to turn the baby in, and Randi overhears them. Frankie has unkind words for Madison after she tells him that her father is forcing her to get a job. The situation between Zach and Kendall remains strained, with Zach turning down Kendall's offer to have sex (he knows she's just freaking out about Liza). He tells her that he is not interested in Liza. Kendall fantasizes about different ways in which she'd ensure Liza and Zach never hooked up (including Liza dying and Zach flat out rejecting her). David explains to Liza that it's impossible that her injuries were sustained by being hit with the door, insisting that someone had to have clobbered her. They theorize it was Zach, but Zach denies this to Liza when confronted. JR kisses Marissa, then admits he wants a drink and feels like a failure. Marissa's confused by JR's behavior. JR doesn't tell Marissa he might have cancer but later shares the news with Tad.

Once Liza comes to after being whacked over the head by Kendall, Zach claims the door came off its hinges and fell on her. Liza pours out her heart to Zach, admitting she might be falling in love with him as a hidden Kendall seethes with rage. Zach tells Liza that Kendall's his one and only. Kendall also overhears Liza talking about her fake pregnancy. Kendall accuses Zach of having feelings for Liza, which he denies. Her evidence - that he never told her about the fake pregnancy! Kendall later surprises Zach in his bed wanting him to prove his love for her. Marissa becomes angry with David for meddling in her life when he calls Scott over. She accuses him of wanting to set her up with Scott so she'll stay away from JR. Scott realizes Marissa's hung up on JR and takes his leave. JR learns there's a chance he might have cancer. Unable to deal, he bolts from the hospital. JR surprises Marissa by kissing her. Natalia reminds Frankie that he and Randi will have to tell the authorities about the baby eventually.Frankie argues that the baby, who he and Randi name Matthew (but who is really Trevor, Amanda and David's baby), is the only thing keeping Randi sane. Natalia warns that means that she'll be devastated when they have to give the baby up. Desperate for money after being cut off by her family, Madison blackmails Frankie, demanding cash. Randi's alarmed when baby Matthew/Trevor spikes a fever. Frankie tries to keep Jesse and Angie from visiting Randi (and thus finding the baby).

Kendall challenges Zach to tell her he doesn't love her. Kendall's jealousy of Liza grows. Liza admits to Tad that she's fallen hard for Zach. After leaving Tad's, Liza shows up at Zach's - and starts to kiss him! Kendall whacks Liza over the head when she sees her kissing Zach. At Annie's comptency hearing, Ryan tells the judge that Annie's a danger to society and should never be allowed free. Annie gives a heartfelt speech about how she's recovered her sanity and feels she's learned from her crimes. The judge rules Annie competent to stand trial despite Ryan's tirade against her. The judge, who's in Adam's pocket, warns Adam to keep Ryan in check or risk Annie going to prison. Annie warns Ryan that she's going to take Emma away from him. Amanda's a wreck over Trevor's disappearance and verbally assaults David, nearly blowing the secret that the baby is still alive. Marissa eases David's guilt about his responsibility for the death of the baby. Jake covers for Amanda when David mentions she talked as though their baby was still alive - but is David really convinced? Angie finds a collapsed JR. She performs some blood tests on him. Angie's concerned by the results of JR's blood tests. Marissa agrees to live with David. JR's not happy to hear this, but Marissa urges JR to trust her.

Ryan's alarmed to find Jesse at Zach's. While Kendall hides, Zach covers his tracks when it seems as though he's nowhere to be found at first. Ryan accuses Zach of trying to help take Emma away from him after witnessing Zach accepting Adam's loan. Kendall secretly eavesdrops on Zach and Ryan's argument. Kendall is almost discovered. Annie plays mind games with Scott, fully aware of his attraction to her. Ryan surprises Adam and Annie by showing up unexpectedly at her competency hearing. Thinking David's just keeping her at the hospital to keep an eye on her, Marissa calls JR to bust her out. David later finds JR and Marissa enjoying themselves at the Yacht Club and assumes JR's been drinking. David makes a deal with Marissa, saying he'll release her from the hospital if she agrees to stay with him at Wildwind. After leaving Scott to look after Marissa, a shaky JR heads to the hospital and promptly collapses. Amanda and Jake check out a lead on an abandoned baby at a Massachusetts hospital, but Amanda is devastated to see it's not her son, Trevor.

Natalia warns Frankie that he and Randi can't keep the baby. Frankie tells Natalia that the baby is the only thing keeping Randi sane. Angie confronts Madison, who says she'll only back off once she has her insurance settlement. Angie goes against her principles when she lies to the Washington, D.C. police about possibly being wrong about the autopsy (and thus helping Madison's case) but realizes she's doing the right thing for her family. Jake and Amanda are surprised to find that Nurse Gayle at the bar David's been calling in Massachusetts. She doesn't seem to know anything about the baby. We do see, however, she continues to drug whatver mysterious patient David has stored there. Liza starts to warm to David after they are forced together by Tad asking Liza to spy on him. Kendall's chest pains turn out to be a false alarm. Kendall, grateful to just be home with Zach and the boys, comes to accept the reality of her situation. She wants to be closer to Zach. In Africa, Krystal wakes up to find a scorpion on her chest. She begs for Erica's help in dealing with it, leading to a comedic scene of Erica facing down the insect. The scorpion is killed. Erica, upon Krystal's advice, does her opening for "New Beginnings" from her heart and talks about how the children in Africa impacted her life. Erica thanks Krystal.

Zach doesn't want to be the focus of the new book Kendall's started to work on. After hearing Zach arguing with Ryan, Kendall accuses Zach of keeping her prisoner to get revenge for her having been unfaithful to him. Alone in the secret room, Kendall begins to suffer chest pains. Ryan tells Liza he suspects Zach is up to something. Liza and Zach bond. Frankie surprises Randi by not telling Jesse and Angie about the baby, deciding maybe they can keep him after all. Jesse and Angie try to work through their tension over the secrets that Jesse has kept. Annie is not happy about the loan that Adam is offering Zach. Scott accuses her of being money hungry, but it's clear that Scott feels an attraction to her. Erica and Krystal settle in Africa, where they trade barbs. Erica struggles with an introduction for her show. Krystal wakes up in the middle of the night to find a scorpion on her chest.

David tries to apologize to Liza for the harsh things he said to her earlier. Liza's not having it. Tad keeps a close eye on David as he grows more and more convinced that David stole Trevor, especially after Taylor overhears him talk about a "package arriving" (she doesn't realize he's talking about flowers for Liza). Tad tells Liza everything that's going on (Amanda's baby being kidnapped, etc), including the fact that David and Amanda aren't baby Stuart's birth parents. Tad asks Liza to try and cozy up to David to try and find out if he does indeed have Trevor. Liza agrees. Jesse confesses everything to Angie and Frankie: Randi killed North after he tried to rape her and Jesse covered it up. Angie tries to understand why Jesse did what he did but wonders when all the lies will stop. She tells Jesse he has to be honest with her from now on. Randi convinces Natalia to let her keep the baby, at least for the time being. Natalia's privately concerned over Randi's mental state. Frankie returns home to find Randi with the baby. Opal reads Taylor's palm and tells her she's a really special lady. Opal tells David off.

Jesse stands up to Madison's threats to tell the cops that Randi murdered North and Jesse covered it up (remember, Madison wants the investigation closed so she can get the insurance money). He counters with one of his own: If Madison tells, he'll expose her for covering up an investigation and she'll go down. Angie confronts Jesse with her suspicions about North's death and realizes the awful truth: That Randi killed North and Jesse covered it up. Madison taunts Frankie with her claims that Randi was having an affair with North and ended up killing him. Frankie remembers the text message he received that claimed the baby wasn't his and realizes Madison might be right. He goes to confront Jesse and comes in the middle of Angie and Jesse's confrontation. Frankie is frantic to find a missing Randi. Natalia tracks Randi down at the Pine Cone and is shocked to find her with baby Trevor. Randi begs Natalia not to make her turn Trevor over to the authorities, claiming she believes she was meant to find him. Zach feigns an angry outburst when Liza questions him about Kendall in order to prevent her from discovering Kendall's presence in the house. Zach finds a teary Liza outside after she runs out. Kendall begins writing to pass the time. Erica prepares for her trip to Africa. Ryan offers to take her to New York City to see her off, and they spend a fun day in the city. The two share a kiss.

Zach covers his tracks when Erica arrives unexpectedly and spots Kendall's half empty juice glass which Spike claims belongs to Mommy. Erica buys Zach story that Spike has created an imaginary Mommy as a way to cope with missing Kendall. Kendall wonders how long they can hide her without getting caught. Zach, with Liza in tow, gets Adam to agree to loan him money, much to Annie's annoyance. Privately, he tells Kendall he'll use this money to pay off the double that's standing in for Kendall in prison and also it will allow them closer access to the Chandler home. Marissa sees through Krystal when she reaches out to her on JR's behalf. JR tries to make amends with Marissa, who lets go of the anger she felt over the deal he agreed to with David. David wants Marissa with Scott, but Scott tells David that Marissa needs to make her own decisions. Marissa and JR kiss.
Kendall prepares a romantic dinner for Zach but they risk being discovered when Liza arrives at the door. Liza signs the papers to commit Marian to Oak Haven. Tad tries to get clues to see if David took aby Trevor. Krystal agrees, at Joe's urging, to go on a charity trip to Africa. Krystal convinces Erica to go with her and use he celebrity to help the starving kids.

Tad and Taylor's worst fears are realized when they discover someone other than Opal took Trevor from the ally. Thinking David could have stolen the baby, Tad and Jake break into Wildwind and discover that David has been placing numerous calls to a phone number in Massachusetts. Jake and Amanda decide to follow their hunch and head off to investigate the source of David's phone calls. Opal is plagued with guilt for getting waylaid. We see that Randi took the baby! Frankie is no match for Madison when he tries to work her for information. Madison hits on Frankie, but he's loyal to Randi. Angie asks Jesse if he's protecting Randi, suspecting she's involved in North's murder. Erica finds herself affected at the sight of a shirtless Ryan. Erica impresses Ryan with her business savvy (they nail a deal for Fusion at Lacy's) as their mutual attraction continues to build.

Angie inadvertently stirs up trouble for Jesse when North's murder investigation is reopened as a result of her questioning his autopsy report. Jesse clams up when Frankie suspects him of being up to something with Randi. Randi does the same. Angie and Frankie are certain Jesse and Randi are keeping secrets (unaware that Jesse is covering up Randi murdering North - although only we know that Madison really killed him). Jake gets onboard with the plan to stage it so that it will appear as though Opal found baby Trevor abandoned in the ally and then he and Amanda will eventually be able to adopt him. As part of the plan, Tad and Taylor place Trevor in his basket in the ally and wait for Opal to "discover" him. Tad and Taylor are confident everything is going according to plan until Amanda alerts them to the fact that Opal has been waylaid by Joe at the hospital.

Kendall makes moves to fully reconcile with Zach, but he admits to Kendall that he'll never be able to forgive her for having cheated on him with Aidan and Ryan. Zach has been taking money from the casino to finance his plan to help Kendall. Liza is incredulous when Zach tells her he's going to try and get a loan from Adam, explaining he'll then be able to get closer to Adam and Annie and be one step closer to proving Annie's guilt. Liza rebuffs David's advances. David gets to Liza when he says he believes no man will ever make her happy. Annie flirts with Scott, who pulls her into a kiss. Annie has the surveillance tape of both JR and Scott kissing her which clearly shows them initiating things and plans on using it as leverage against them. David tells Marissa about the offer he made to JR (stay away from Marissa and David will stay away from Little Adam). Marissa angrily rejects JR when he returns to try and make amends with her.

Annie makes Emma promise that she'll never talk about what she really saw the night Stuart was shot - or else Annie would never see her again. Ryan informs Jesse that Annie managed to sneak a cell phone to Emma and has been in contact with her. Annie has a meeting with her court appointed psychiatrist which goes her way - he'll recommend she's not insane. Adam promises Annie he'll help her get Emma back. Adam has a flashback to the night of Stuart's murder but doesn't share the memory with Annie. Kendall is disoriented when she awakes in Zach's secret room but soon begins to remember the events of the day of her sentencing. Zach explains his plan to Kendall: He and Jesse teamed up to get her out of the courthouse, and replaced her with someone that looks exactly like her and is willing to go to prison for a ton of money that Zach's giving her. This buys Zach time to prove Annie guilty of killing Stuart. The secret room Kendall is in is part of the Slater house that Zach had especially built. Zach tries to convince her it can all work out and she'll never have to leave her boys again. Although reluctant at first, Kendall agrees to go along with Zach's plan until he can prove her innocence. Marissa gently lets down Scott after he kisses her. Scott doesn't feel as though he has a chance with Marissa, believing the old adage that nice guys finish last. After a talk with David, Scott realizes he isn't cut out to be the ruthless type but decides to give being a bad boy a try and surprises Annie by stripping down naked and jumping in the Chandler pool. David would rather see Marissa with Scott rather than JR. David shows up at Liza's door and surprises her with a kiss. Erica asks for Ryan's help after Kendall refuses to see her - he'll surely see Kendall. Ryan doesn't want to get involved. Later, Ryan apologizes to Erica and they bond as they both watch the same romantic movie.

Ryan confronts Annie over her phone call to Emma, vowing she'll never get her hands on Emma again. Scott comes to Annie's defense and kicks Ryan out. Annie bolsters Scott's confidence as she urges him to fight for Marissa if he wants to be with her. JR is at Marissa's side when she awakes from surgery. David warns Marissa not to get involved with JR. David tries to make a deal with JR, offering to stay away from Little A if JR keeps his distance from Marissa. Scott visits Marissa and impulsively kisses her. Erica's baffled by Zach's behavior when he refuses to visit Kendall, saying he's merely doing as she asked. Ryan also begins to question Zach's behavior. Erica tries to visit Kendall in prison and is shocked to learn Kendall is refusing all visitors. Unbeknownst to Ryan and Erica, Zach has Kendall stashed away in a secret room at the house. Emma calls Annie, asking when she can stop lying to Ryan that Kendall shot Stuart.

Kendall learns her fate in court as the judge announces his sentence: Life in prison with the possiblity of parole in 15 years. Zach tells Rachael that he's letting her go because he wants to spend more time at home. Liza urges Zach to appeal Kendall's case, but he seems oddly resigned. Is he hiding something? Marissa is the unintended victim of Marian's quest for revenge against Kendall when she gets shot with a bullet meant for Kendall. Krystal is taken aback by David's vehemence is his desire to protect Marissa. Liza's heart breaks for Marian as she's led off to a psychiatric facility. JR gets a rise out of Annie, who slaps him across the face. Colby makes it perfectly clear she wants nothing to do with either Annie or Adam. Tad, Taylor and Amanda come clean with Opal after she spots baby Trevor at the house. Opal agrees everyone did the right in keeping David away from the baby but thinks Jake's plan has flaws. She has an idea of her own.

Zach gives an impassioned plea for leniency at Kendall's sentencing hearing. Scott also makes a statement at the hearing, invoking Stuart's memory as he tells the judge his father wasn't a vindictive man. At Annie's urging, Adam asks the judge to go easy on Kendall. Marian lays into Kendall and wants her to pay dearly for killing Stuart. The judge prepares to deliver Kendall's sentence. Ryan gives a distraught Erica a shoulder to lean on. Colby is stunned to learn of Adam's plan to marry Annie. JR challenges Annie to admit she's just using Adam and kisses her. Angie notices Randi's quick defense of Jesse after Natalia states she thinks Jesse is involved in a cover up of some sort. Angie admits to Frankie she believes Jesse is hiding something. Madison approaches Randi at the hospital, which Angie sees, and it only raises her suspicion more.

Jesse alerts Zach to the fact that Kendall is insisting on making a full confession. In front of Liza and Jesse, Kendall unburdens herself by confessing to having killed Stuart in a taped statement. Stuart's ghost appears in front of Kendall, telling her they can all be at peace now. Natalia accuses Jesse of stepping outside the law in trying to protect Kendall and later shares her feelings with Frankie and Randi. Natalia wonders if Jesse is protecting someone, but can't imagine who. Randi continues to be plagued with guilt thinking she killed North. Marissa's concerned for JR when she finds him after he collapses in an alley but he truthfully claims he hasn't been drinking and dismisses the incident as being nothing. Back at the mansion, JR struggles to contain his anger and disgust when Adam announces Annie agreed to marry him. JR admits to Marissa he's jealous of Adam doting on Scott, because Scott's the kind of son he could never be.

Zach and Ryan convince a reluctant Kendall to stick to the plan and make a run for it just moments before the cops descend on the warehouse. After making it to the marina, Kendall ultimately has a change of heart and turns herself in to Natalia, who arrests her. Jesse doesn't press the issue when Kendal claims she acted alone in her escape attempt and doesn't implicate Zach or Ryan. Kendall's emotions get the best of her while alone in her jail cell. Natalia begins to suspect Jesse is hiding something in regards to Kendall's case. Krystal's curiosity is piqued when she overhears Tad and Taylor mentioning a baby but they do their best to throw her off track. Krystal casually mentions Tad's baby reference to David. After asking Scott to move into the mansion, Adam proposes to Annie. JR opens up to Marissa but lashes out at Scott after learning Adam asked him to move in.

Zach and Ryan orchestrate Kendall's escape from the courthouse as jury selection for her trial gets underway. Kendall tells Zach and Ryan she won't go on the run because she couldn't bear to tear the boys away from Zach. Jake and Amanda put their plan (to "adopt" her own baby) in motion by convincing David that Amanda can't have any more children. Amanda and Jake look forward to being a family once they "adopt" a baby and are able to bring Trevor home. Krystal and Taylor talk about Tad. Taylor realizes that Krystal still loves Tad but Krystal states she just wants him to be happy. Amanda urges Tad to be with Taylor.
