Zach tells Ryan in no uncertain terms to keep his distance from North. Tad begins to have flashes of memories of the night of Stuart's murder and remembers seeing a woman running from the terrace. Ryan is certain Annie was the woman Tad saw that fateful night. Ryan only makes things worse for Kendall when he takes Tad to see North, who gets Tad to admit that it could have been Kendall, not Annie, he saw running away. Kendall visits Annie to try to goad her into confessing to Stuart's murder, but Annie catches onto her. At the casino, Zach tries to work Madison but she stays tough. Madison warns Zach that her husband will surely succeed in convicting Kendall for murder. A forlorn Amanda admits to Jake she can't stop thinking about Liza's baby. Amanda asks Jake to tell her who he gave her baby to. Liza becomes emotional when Colby tells her she wants to live with her and help raise the baby. Amanda holds Liza's baby but doesn't recognize it as her own. Scott and JR come to a new understanding after Adam dismisses Scott's attempts to give Chandler Enterprises money to charity: The two agree to raise profits, then make a sizable donation.

Liza feigns going into labor when Amanda appears ready to expose the truth at her baby's memorial service. Jake and Tad whisk Liza away to allegedly give birth. Back at home, Liza bonds with Colby, who truly believes her mother's in labor as Tad leaves to go pick up the baby at the address Jake gave him. Amanda's arrival could put Jake and Liza's plan in jeopardy. David asks Amanda if he can bury their supposed baby's ashes with Babe and she agrees. Krystal reaches out to David in his time of grief. Aidan and Ryan are revealed to be in cahoots after Aidan gives Annie the means to remove her ankle monitor. Ryan spies on Annie, waiting to see her next move (and if she takes the bait and tries to escape). Annie finds a gun in Adam's desk and looks ready to run, just as Adam enters and a startled Annie points a gun at him. Brot and Taylor realize they've reached the end of the road and amicably part ways.

Jake tries to convince Liza that everything would be better if she moved away from Pine Valley once she gets Amanda's baby Liza considers it and floats the idea of leaving town with Colby to Colby. Colby does not want to leave Pine Valley and gets upset with Liza. Amanda remains distraught over giving her son away and her grief is only further compounded when David admits he might have been willing to let her keep the child if it had lived. Amanda reaches her breaking point at the memorial service David arranges for their baby. She gets up and blurts "this is all a fraud." JR and Marissa enjoy their time together. JR pulls away after he and Marissa come together in a kiss. Brot proposes to Taylor. Taylor admits to Tad she's not in love with Brot anymore. North asks Randi to go away with him, but she refuses. Frankie sees Randi and North together.

After spending time with Madison, Zach comes to believe North might have a history of violence and he and Kendall ask Jesse to look into his past. Jesse stands up to North when he demands Zach be arrested for his actions on the night of Stuart's murder. A tearful Madison calls Zach but hangs up without saying anything. Erica pushes Annie's buttons while she and Ryan have dinner with her and Adam. Annie holds her own against Erica but it takes all her efforts to keep her anger in check. Annie's grateful for Adam's support and once alone, pulls him into a heated kiss. Ryan kisses Erica on the cheek and both are affected. Frankie pushes everyone away when his hand surgery seems to have been unsuccessful. Alone in his hospital room, Frankie manages to move his fingers. Randi encounters North, who tells her she was the only person who ever saw any good in him.

Kendall arranges a meeting with North while Zach spends time playing blackjack with his wife Madison at the casino. Kendall tries to make a deal with North (she'll make sure Erica and Zach endorse his future runs for political office if he lets her off) but he remains convinced he'll easily be able to convict her of Stuart's murder. Zach hits a nerve with Madison when he talks about her marriage. Kendall also gets under North's skin but both she and Zach are unsuccessful in getting what they hoped. Ryan enrages Annie when he states she'll never take his daughter away from him. Erica and Ryan conspire against Adam and Annie. Erica has a plan up her sleeve when Adam invites her and a guest to join him and Annie for dinner at the mansion.Adam and Annie grow closer. Amanda is suffering the effects of postpartum depression. Tad wishes Liza would change her mind about taking Amanda's baby. Liza worries that Amanda will recognize her baby after learning she held him after he was born.

North makes advances towards Randi as he clearly wants to rekindle their past relationship. Randi pulls away from North but later remembers the feelings they once shared. A nervous Randi goes to see North, telling him she didn't run away with him when he asked her to years before because she belives she would have been his downfall. North darkens when Randi states she's happily married and asks him to forget he ever knew her. Frankie apologizes to Randifor being a jerk and says he's consenting to the surgery. Brot and Taylor address the problems in their relationship. Brot later admits to Frankie that he and Taylor have lost what they once had and doesn't think they can ever get it back. Annie tells Aidan she no longer needs him because she has Adam now. Erica tries to warn Adam away from Annie but he appears to be growing even more smitten by her. Erica vows to Ryan she'll find a way to stop Annie in her tracks and keep her from getting her hands on Emma. Ryan tears into Liza for defending Annie. Marissa is moved when JR talks about his love for Babe. Liza tries to make inroads with an angry Colby, who has figured out that Liza only agreed to help Adam with Annie if Adam helps Liza make inroads with Colby.

Liza proves to be a shark in the courtroom while defending Annie. Adam volunteers to let Annie stay at the mansion when the judge agrees to house arrest for her as opposed to being sent back to Oak Haven or jail. Adam tells JR that he and Little A will have to move out while Annie stays there per the judge's order that Annie not be around any minors. Erica and Ryan are outraged by this turn of events. Alone at the Chandler Mansion, Annie is approached by Aidan, who tells her she put on a brilliant performance and kisses her. Zach is determined to find North's weak spot. Eager to score a conviction against a high profile defendant, North pressures Jesse to find more evidence to use against Kendall. Randi is shaken when she runs into North. Later, alone, it's clear the two share a past. Frankie agrees to more surgery to try and repair the damage to his hands. JR is pleased to see Marissa bonding with Little A, but is furious Adam kicked them out in favor of Annie.

David desperately wants to get to the hospital when he learns Krystal collapsed after their car accident. Krystal knows that David cares about her but resists the urge to get drawn back in by him. JR proves to be a good friend to Marissa when she tells him she blames herself for the deaths of her adopted parents. Marissa reaches out to David, but he's too occupied with Krystal and pushes her away. Kendall puts a stop to Zach and Ryan's arguing after she and Zach bring Ian home from the hospital. Kendall tells Zach and Ryan she needs both of them to help keep her out of jail. Zach believes going after Henry North is the best way to protect Kendall. Ryan has no intention of helping Liza build a case for Annie's defense. Taylor and Brot address the fact that their relationship isn't what it used to be. Brot walks away unnoticed when he later sees Taylor sharing a laugh with Tad. Taylor urges Randi to stay and fight for Frankie. Randi lets Frankie know she's with him for the long haul. Frankie takes a major step when he allows Randi to feed him, since he can't use his hands.

David pushes Marissa away when she finds him drowning his sorrows at ConFusion and rejects her attempts to comfort him. Krystal proves she understands David better than anyone else ever could. After telling him she's going to drive a drunken David home, Tad soon gets word that Krystal has been in an accident. David is brought into the police station for driving drunk. Krystal meets up with Tad and appears to be perfectly fine until she collapses in his arms. Liza agrees to Adam's request to act as Annie's attorney in exchange for Adam's help in repairing her and Colby's relationship. Ryan clashes with Liza when he discovers she's representing Annie. Annie overhears Erica vowing to Adam that she'll make sure Annie spends the rest of her life behind bars. Ryan and JR warn Adam that his loyalty to Annie is dangerous. JR feels badly for Amanda when Marissa tells him her baby died. Jake assures Amanda her baby will have a great life. Amanda remembers holding her newborn son.

Liza pleads her case to Tad, asking him to go along with her plan. Liza goes off the deep end when Jake calls to tell her she might not get Amanda's baby after all and heads straight to Zach. Amanda has an emotional exchange with David while convincing him that their baby died. David still thinks Jake and Amanda are hiding from something and swears to find out what it is. Liza's thrilled when Jake lets her know everything is back on track. Prior to getting the news that she'd get the baby, Liza pulled away from Colby, who tried to touch her "pregnant" stomach. This made Colby feel sad, and Pete did his best to make her feel better. After getting the good news that Ian will soon be released from the hospital, Kendall tells Zach she wants to move back home even though she knows he doesn't want to get back together with her. Kendall tells Ryan of her plans and admits she doesn't know what she wants. Kendall quickly runs out when Ryan reaches out to her. Ryan remembers Greenlee when he receives a Christmas gift from her that Jack had found while packing up her things. Ryan gets a mysterious phone call from an unidentified caller - but the person is being cared for by David's crony, Nurse Gayle. Kendall walks in on Liza hugging Zach after she's gotten the news about getting the baby. Adam tells Ryan he's helping Annie because she saved his life and there's no way he's going to walk away from her. Adam goes off on Kendall, accusing her having murdered Stuart. Annie pulls Adam into a kiss after telling him she doesn't think Kendall killed Stuart. Frankie shuts down on everyone as he struggles to come to terms with what's happened to him.

Liza confesses the truth to Tad as she reveals she's faking being pregnant so that she and Jake can pass Amanda's baby off as being hers. Tad is vastly opposed to what Liza and Jake are doing. Remembering the ordeal he went through with Kathy, Tad doesn't believe any parent, even someone as despicable as David, should be duped into thinking they lost a child. Amanda musters up the strength to hand her baby over to Jake but not before saying an emotional and heartfelt goodbye to her newborn little boy. David tracks Jake and Amanda down to the clinic in Barbados and finds Amanda an emotional wreck when he barges into her room. Jake claims that Amanda's baby died during a complicated birth. Jake fears David might uncover the truth when he demands to see his son's body. Krystal reaches out to Marissa when she laments the fact that she doesn't seem to be enough to fill the void in David's life. Marissa and Krystal worry what David might do if he loses another child. Ryan pulls the truth out of Emma, who says Annie told her about having a guardian angel that's going to help her come home. Aidan denies helping Annie when Ryan confronts him, saying he doesn't think Annie should ever be set free.

Liza's anxious to get in touch with Jake after learning he and Amanda left on their honeymoon. Jake finally returns one of Liza's many calls and assures her everything is going according to plan. Jake and Amanda head to the hospital in Barbados when she goes into labor unexpectedly. Amanda delivers a healthy baby boy and has Jake place him in her arms despite her earlier claim that she never wanted to see her child. Meanwhile, Marissa appeals to David to not try and snatch Amanda's baby away from her once he tracks her down. Tad suspects Liza's up to something where it comes to Jake and Amanda. Later, he accidentally throws a dart and it lands in Liza's fake pregnancy pad! Kendall is moved by Zach's vehemence when he refuses to entertain the idea of her pleading guilty in order to get a lighter sentence. Kendall apologizes to Zach for having hurt him by turning to Ryan. She decides to fight the charges against her and prove her innocence. Emma fakes being sick in order to go to the hospital in hopes of seeing Annie. Against Ryan's wishes, Aidan arranges for Annie spend time with Emma (but it's all part of a plot to get Annie to divulge secrets to Emma, who will hopefully tell Aidan). Annie tells Emma that she has a guardian angel who is going to fix everything.

Tad punches David when he tries to make trouble at Jake and Amanda's wedding. David ends up gagged and tied to a chair as Jake and Amanda exchange impromptu vows from the heart before Tad pronounces them husband and wife. Krystal tries to warn Marissa off David but she staunchly defends her father to the group. Zach and Kendall share a kiss after getting good news about Ian. Zach promises to keep Liza's secret (that she's not really pregnant) after she swears she'll never say anything to incriminate Kendall. Liza is left shaken after David accuses her of having taken his case just so she could purposely lose it. Kendall and Ryan admit that Zach and Greenlee are still in their hearts, respectively. Erica wants Aidan to keep Annie away from Adam but he turns it around and demands Erica keep Adam away from Annie. Erica pays Annie a visit and warns her away from Adam.

David admits to Jesse that he had been in the tunnels at the mansion with a gun but claims he didn't pull the trigger. David goes on to say that Kendall tripped over him while he was hiding in the garden after he heard a gunshot. Jesse doesn't buy David's story and gives his own take on what he thinks really happened. After refuting Jesse's theory, David reveals he returned and saw Liza standing over Stuart's body. Liza is stunned, and realizes David knew she was just agreeing to be his attorney because she planned to throw his case. North leaves Liza with an ultimatum: He'll investigate her unless she gives damning evidence against Kendall. Zach promises Kendall he won't let her be railroaded to prison as they wait out Ian's surgery. Liza warns David to stay away from her. JR questions Adam's newfound friendship with Annie. Adam defends Annie to JR, saying that she saved his life the night Stuart was shot and is his change for redemption. Erica grows concerned when JR tells her that Adam's become obsessed with Annie. Aidan tells Ryan he thinks Annie is crazier than ever. Ryan accuses Aidan of turning on Annie just because she chose Adam over him. Tad gets ordained as a minister online so he can marry Jake and Amanda immediately. David barges in just as Jake and Amanda's ceremony begins.

Jesse takes David down to the station for questioning. Liza steps in and offers to represent David, who agrees to let her act as his attorney after seeing they have more in common than he thought. Jesse gets proof that David was near the terrace at the Chandler mansion on the night of the shooting. Ryan and Zach try to convince D.A. North to look at David as the prime suspect but he refuses to stop pursuing Kendall. Krystal fears Marissa is getting too close to David. Jake proposes to Amanda, who quickly accepts. Liza wishes Colby would move in with her but agrees to give her the money for the deposit to rent her own apartment with Corrina. Adam pleads with Colby not to move out but JR supports her decision wholeheartedly. Colby still won't forgive Adam for having kept Liza's letters from her. Aidan and Adam clash over what's best for Annie. Annie ends up sending Aidan away and breaking up with him. Annie's stab wound gets worse, but a sleeping guard means she coudl escape if she wanted to. Ryan feels left out as Kendall goes into Zach's arms after they get the news that Ian's strong enough to have the surgery to replace the defective heart valve.

Marissa defends David to JR. Zach accuses David of having murdered Stuart. Kendall claims to now remember seeing a man on the Chandler grounds the night of the shooting and believes David could have been the person she tripped over. After questioning Annie further, Ryan comes to believe that David is guilty and shares his theory with Kendall and Zach. Jesse and his team search the grounds for evidence and discover a man's footprint. Marissa finds David about to leave town when she goes to Wildwind. David feels as though he's being railroaded for a murder he didn't commit. Marissa urges David to stay and fight if he's really innocent and remains supportive even after he tells her about some of the horrible things he's done. David leaves but soon returns because of Marissa. Grateful for her actions on the night of the murder, Adam promises to help Annie. Aidan isn't pleased to find Adam in Annie's hospital room. Frankie continues to push Randi away. Brot doesn't pull any punches with Frankie, telling him he'd be losing the best thing he ever had if he lets Randi go. Randi prepares to go back to Pine Valley alone.

Annie's taken to the hospital after being stabbed by a fellow inmate but her wound isn't life threatening. Adam jumps to Annie's defense when he enters to find Ryan questioning her about the night of the murder. Frankie pushes Randi away after waking from the surgery that was performed on his hands. Angie fights the urge to go to her son's side as she encourages Randi to stay strong for Frankie's sake. Knowing he'll never be able to live out his dream of becoming a surgeon, Frankie feels as though his life is over. Kendall's trial is set for six weeks away. Jack tells Kendall the "thing" she tripped over on the night of the murder could be the key to the killer's real identity. Liza and Adam clash about the letters he kept from Colby. Zach comes to Liza's defense.

Liza explains to Colby why she was at the mansion on the night of the murder to retrieve the letter she wrote Colby, but she asserts her innocence. Pete tells Colby the blood on the letters was definitely Stuart. Ryan leaves to go see Adam after Annie tells him why she had been at the mansion with a gun. Annie swears she didn't kill Stuart, and took an ill Adam to the attic. Adam backs this up and Ryan starts to believe Annie. Thinking she could help fill the void in David's life, Marissa goes to him and offers sympathy. David has a vision of Babe, who urges him to do the right thing. Tad's acting footloose and fancy free to keep Krystal's spirits up. Krystal is touched by Marissa's concern for David. Marissa meets Amanda and Jake.

Ryan confronts Annie after seeing a drawing Emma made of a woman holding a gun. Scott and Krystal accuse David of being the killer, but Jesse won't arrest him just yet. David tells Krystal the reason he didn't pull the trigger that fateful night: His children motivated him not to. Colby finds a packet of letters from Liza addressed to her while poking around in Liza's room at the Yacht Club. Back at the mansion, Colby reads the letters Adam deliberately kept from her and is deeply affected by Liza's outpourings of love. Pete and Colby notice blood on the most recent letter. Liza and Colby's moment of closeness is quickly shattered when Colby realizes her mother had been at the mansion on the night of the murder and accuses her of having shot Stuart (Pete proved the blood on the letters was Stuart's). Jake explains to Liza how he's going to hand Amanda's baby over to her. Jake later tells Amanda the arrangements he's made but doesn't mention Liza.

Erica is furious to see Liza meeting with Jack. Later, she learns from Kendall that Zach slept with Liza. Ryan is suspicious of Liza. Erica decides to break into Liza's room to get evidence against her. Colby catches her. Colby catches Pete up on the drama with Liza and what she found out about her conception (that Jake was originally supposed to be her dad). Marissa calls Krystal for help when she finds David drunk and out of control. Marissa tells Scott she thinks David killed Stuart. A drunken David begs Krystal to come back to him, roughly grabbing her when she insists they're through as he violently tries to push her wedding ring back on her finger. Scott punches David in the face when he arrives on the scene. Krystal refuses to go back to David. Zach recants his confession. This just makes D.A. North more suspicious of Kendall. Zach promises Kendall he'll clear her. Ryan is suspicious of Liza. Liza offers to help Zach, but he wants none of it. Ryan suggests Kendall and Zach get married so they don't have to testify against each other.

Colby is stunned when she overhears Jake and Liza talking and learns that Jake, not Adam, was supposed to have been her father. Colby confronts Adam with the information, and Adam tries to explain. Liza pales when she arrives to hear that Colby knows the truth. Liza explains a bit of her complicated history with Adam to Colby, who gains a new understanding of her parents. Colby forgives Liza for keeping the truth from her and they make plans to go to lunch. Adam admits an interest in Erica. Krystal shows up at Tad's after walking out on David. Tad proves to be a good friend when he welcomes Krystal home and invites her to stay at the house for a while. David, hurting from Krystal leaving him, tries to explain his behavior to Amanda. Amanda encourages David to forget about her baby and build a life with Marissa. Liza wants Jake to promise that he won't try to take Amanda's baby back once he gives it to her. He can't, so Liza tells him that if he ever tries to take the baby away, she'll make him regret it. Jake comes up with a plan while surfing adoption websites. Kendall gets out on bail. Kendall visits Zach, who tells her he only took the fall to cover for her. Kendall swears she didn't kill Stuart. They wonder who did.
