Jake can't forgive Amanda for having slept with David. Amanda's crushed when Jake walks out on her. David gets confirmation that he's not Trevor's father. Jesse finds Zach packing up all of Kendall's belongings. Zach stuns Jesse when he tells him that Kendall is with Aidan now. Jesse urges Zach to try and work things out with Kendall but he insists it's over between them. Zach doesn't want to hear anything Kat has to say when she shows up at his door. Kat leaves Zach an envelope containing Kendall's wedding ring. Liza kicks Damon out when she returns home to find him with Bailey and Stuart. Bailey refuses to believe Liza's claim that Damon tried to extort money from her. Liza's caught off-guard when Bailey announces she's leaving with Stuart. Krystal tells Tad about her plans to open a new business.

David secretly has a DNA test performed to determine whether or not he's Trevor's father. The news comes back: He's not the father. Consumed with guilt, Amanda confesses to Jake that she slept with David. As the Hubbards celebrate Thanksgiving, Natalia tries to make Brot jealous but he sees right through her. The sparks between them are undeniable. Adam tells Liza he's not going to fight the charges against him unless she agrees to take on Annie's case as well. Liza realizes that Annie genuinely loves Adam when she claims she's going to plead guilty to help his case. Little Adam complains of stomach pains, which Joe thinks are psychosomatic due to all the drama surrounding Stuart's death.

Zach continues to believe Kendall betrayed him again and angrily tells Liza his marriage is over for good. Tad goes to the boarding house looking for Kendall but Kat claims that she ran off with Aidan because they're having an affair. After returning to Pine Valley, Tad tells Erica he believes Kendall took off with Aidan and they might be headed to Los Angeles. Annie opens her eyes as Adam professes his love for her. Marissa refuses to allow JR to turn his back on Adam, saying he'd regret doing it for the rest of his life. JR and Marissa ask Liza to act as Adam's attorney since he's confessed to accidentally murdering Stuart. Scott and Annie are arrested after being charged with being accessories to murder after the fact.

As Zach spies through the window at the boarding house, Aidan sets the scene to make it look as though he and Kendall are having sex when in reality, it's really Kendall's look-a-like appearing to be making love with him. Zach is furious. Erica's alarmed when Zach angrily tells her Kendall will never be coming back to him or their home. Believing Kendall betrayed him with Aidan once again, Zach begins destroying everything in his path. Meanwhile, Kendall is desperate to make contact with Zach and thinks she's now able to come home after reading that Adam confessed to Stuart's murder. Aidan has no intention of allowing Kendall to reunite with Zach and chloroforms her. Annie remains in critical condition. Scott makes sure Adam watches the final DVD Annie made and also gives him proof that Adam was the father of the baby she miscarried. Guilt ridden Adam sits at an unconscious Annie's bedside and pleads with her to come back to him. Amanda confides in Angie that she slept with David willingly in the hopes of conceiving and later breaks down in Jake's arms. However, she does not tell him about sleeping with David. After new information comes to light, David realizes it's possible he's not really Trevor's father after all (his fertility scores are low).

Zach's temper flares as he accuses Tad of withholding information from him. Aidan drugs Kendall's wine in order to further his plan. Drugged Kendall thinks Aidan is Zach and begs him to sleep with her. After getting Kendall's location from his private investigator, Zach gets a very unpleasant surprise when he arrives at the boarding house - he spies Aidan and what looks like Kendall having sex! Scott calls for help after finding Annie in a pool of blood in the parlor at the mansion. Meanwhile, Adam confesses to Jesse and the District Attorney to having killed Stuart. David informs Scott that Annie lost the baby and also tells him that her condition remains quite serious. When Adam hears this, he is concerned. Amanda continues to be a bundle of nerves around Jake. Jake begins to suspect that David might have raped Amanda but she denies the accusation. However, she doesn't come clean that she slept with David.

Annie bails a drunk Scott out of jail. JR rejects Adam when he asks him to come back into the family fold. Adam confronts Scott and Annie with the incriminating DVD showing them kissing. Adam accuses a devastated Annie of having never really loved him. Alone, Annie suffers severe abdominal pains. Adam tells Erica he's going to confess to killing Stuart so that Kendall can come home. Tad jumps to the wrong conclusion when he spies on Kendall and Aidan. After returning to Pine Valley, Tad tells Zach that everything is fine with Kendall but urges him to get her home sooner rather than later. Zach knows something is amiss.

Scott and Annie break from their kiss and although both yearn for one another, they realize they can't act on their feelings. Annie's surprised by Adam's unexpected return and soon figures out that he was testing her. Annie thinks she's dodged a bullet when Adam destroys the DVD from the surveillance camera and is unaware it wasn't the disc that captured the footage of her and Scott kissing. Alone, Adam's devastated when he watches the kiss between Scott and Annie. Scott's tortured by his desire for Annie. Erica fishes for information from Scott, who tells her he and Annie never slept together. Ryan admits to Erica that he can't stop thinking about Greenlee. David makes up an excuse to Ryan about why he has Greenlee's chart on his computer, and then makes a cryptic phone call to Nurse Gayle regarding their patient. Amanda feels too ashamed with herself to be around Jake. Jake is left confused when Amanda turns down David's offer to let her move back in with him for the time being (her reason is she feels guilty). Jake is surprised to hear from Amanda's doctor that she never showed up for her insemination.

Ryan succeeds in leading Adam to believe Annie has been cheating on him with Scott when he gives him the DVD showing them sharing a kiss. Adam sets out to test Annie and activates the hidden surveillance camera before pretending he has to leave immediately on a business trip. As the camera records their every move, Scott suddenly pulls Annie into a kiss. Ryan ends up alone in David's office at the hospital and becomes curious when he sees that David has Greenlee's medical records on his computer. Zach enlists Tad's help in tracking down Kendall. Tad is confident he knows where Kendall and Aidan are but refuses to share the information with a volatile Zach, promising he'll bring Kendall home by himself. Meanwhile, Aidan and Kat continue to manipulate the emails between Zach and Kendall. Aidan realizes if Zach thinks he's sleeping with Kendall, Kendall and Zach will be finished forever. James Beardsly, Madison's father, summons Jesse, Frankie, Randi and Natalia together and claims he's getting Madison the help she needs because she suffers from schizophrenia. Madison, who's obviously been drugged, manages to secretly slip Jesse a note asking him to help her.

Ryan, Zach and Erica are taken by surprise when Jake announces that Annie really is pregnant. Forming a new plan, Zach, Erica and Ryan start to plant the seeds of doubt with Adam as they lead him to believe that Scott might be the father of Annie's baby. Thinking back to what Erica said earlier, Scott tells Annie it might be best for his own wellbeing to keep his distance from the family. Annie warns Ryan that she and Adam are going after full custody of Emma. Aidan and Kat continue to manipulate Kendall and Zach with their phony e-mail messages. Kat sends Zach an email, pretending to be Kendall, that makes it seem like she's getting closer to Aidan. Suspecting something isn't quite right, Zach contacts Jesse. Aidan puts on a show in front of Kendall when he claims he's afraid they'll end up sleeping together again. Amanda's wracked with guilt after having sex with David. She keeps this from Jake.

Ryan's confident his plan is working out perfectly when Annie's taken to the hospital claiming to have suffered a miscarriage. Jake has surprising news for Ryan, Zach and Erica: Annie really is pregnant. Kat and Aidan conspire against Kendall and Zach by sending Kendall phony messages allegedly coming from Zach. Kat fuels Kendall's jealousy by sending her a message in which "Zach" sings Liza's praises. David suggests to Amanda that they could avoid having to wait another month for her to try and conceive by making a baby the old fashioned way - after all, the sooner Amanda gets pregnant, the sooner she can be with Jake. She'd be cheating FOR Jake. Amanda makes a deal with the devil when she reluctantly agrees to have sex with David, who promises that Jake will never find out.

Knowing Annie is probably going to fake having a miscarriage, Ryan tries to stay one step ahead of her by making sure Jake will be the doctor who examines her when she comes to the hospital. Annie pretends to have fallen down the stairs (so that Adam won't turn on her for a pregnancy lie) and later tells Adam she thinks she lost the baby. Ryan's plan seems to be falling into place when they get word the paramedics are headed to the Chandler mansion because Annie's in distress. David manipulates the situation so that he and Amanda are stranded in the middle of nowhere when his car runs out of gas while on their way to the fertility clinic. Knowing that they need to wait another month (meaning another month away from Jake) if they don't make the appointment, David hints to Amanda that they conceive the old fashioned way. JR convinces Colby that Adam is a lost cause. JR and Liza assure a tearful Colby that they'll always be there for her. JR wants to file a claim that Adam is insane, but Liza and Tad convince him not to. Tad is shocked to learn from Liza and JR that Adam probably shot Stuat.

JR refuses to help Erica, Zach and Ryan get a confession out of Adam and stuns the trio when he tells them that Annie's pregnant. Erica steps up her efforts to guilt Adam into admitting the truth. Ryan shocks Annie when he reveals the doctor told him it would be nearly impossible for her to ever get pregnant again after the miscarriage she suffered. Kendall feels that all hope is lost after learning Adam went through with marrying Annie. Aidan becomes angry when Kendall resolves to end their life on the run and turn herself in. Aidan vows to Kat that he's not going to lose Kendall to another man again. Zach exchanges messages with Kendall and convinces her to stick with the plan and do as Aidan says. JR severs ties with Adam and focuses on being a family with Marissa and Little A. Madison tries to convince Jesse, Frankie and Randi that she wants to take the rap for what she's done and keep their names out of it. Frankie finds Jesse unconscious in the hallway after he's left the apartment with Madison presumably to take her to the police station. Jesse tells Frankie and Randi that Madison has been kidnapped.

David plays on Amanda's fears when he picks up on the fact she's afraid she won't get pregnant right away and will be forced to live with him indefinitely. Liza confirms to Amanda that the contract with David has no end date - so if she doesn't get pregnant for years, she's still under contract (and thus away from Jake longer). Jake promises Amanda that everything will work out because their love for one another will prevail. Frankie and Randi are blissfully happy in each other's arms as they enjoy the last moments of their honeymoon. The tension between Angie and Jesse remains high. Natalia's efforts to bring Jesse and Angie together fails miserably, as her attempts to trick them into spending time together make Angie angry. Frankie is shocked to discover Madison, alive and well, and hiding in his closet. Liza's unnerved when Damon takes an interest in Stuart. Damon warns Bailey not to trust Liza.

Zach and Jesse work to save Adam's life. While in purgatory, Adam encounters the Devil as personified by David. Annie appears as Adam's angel as she and David battle over whether or not he should be saved or spend the rest of eternity in Hell paying for what he's done. Meanwhile, Zach works zealously to keep Adam alive as everyone looks on while waiting for the paramedics to arrive. Annie emerges victorious when Adam bolts awake and the minister pronounces them husband and wife (Adam's words upon getting up are "I do!"). At the hospital, Marissa figures out that Annie's been protecting Adam because he shot Stuart. Colby and JR witness this as well and question if it's true. Liza admits to a devastated Colby that it looks like Adam killed Stuart and pulls her daughter into a comforting embrace. At the boarding house, Kendall and Aidan spin a story for the local sheriff, claiming they're a couple on the run from Kendall's husband. Kat obviously has feelings for Aidan but picks up on the fact he's in love with Kendall. Kendall and Zach communicate via their poetry message board. Ryan confesses to Erica that he won't forgive himsel if Adam dies from the guilt that Ryan purposefully inflicted upon him.

Annie and Adam prepare for their big day. Colby, despite not wanting to go, relents and attends the wedding. Adam assures Scott that he has no second thoughts about the wedding. Adam learns Scott once kissed Annie and is furious. JR attends the wedding despite his better judgement. Ryan invokes Stuart's memory when he stands and has his say during Adam and Annie's wedding ceremony. The stress of remembering how and why Stuart died takes its toll on Adam and he collapses. Aidan and Kendall rent a shabby room from a woman named Kat at a rundown boarding house. They go under assumed names. Aidan grows more obsessed with Kendall and isn't as unfamiliar with Kat as he would lead Kendall to believe - she knows who he is and the two kiss!

Annie's confident she has everything under control - Adam will marry her and not confess because he thinks she's pregnant - but Scott feels otherwise. Annie, who doesn't think she's actually pregnant, tells Scott she'll just get pregnant on the honeymoon. Ryan tries to badger a confession out of Adam until Scott arrives and warns Ryan to keep his distance. Adam visits Stuart's grave, resolved to keep the secret for the sake of the family and the upcoming baby. Angie pulls away from Jesse when he wants to celebrate her being named Chief of Staff as she feels disgusted with herself for stooping to David's level and blackmailing David out of the position. Amanda gets the news that she can undergo her first insemination attempt in a matter of weeks. JR and Marissa get past a rough patch and reaffirm their love for each other.

Annie and Scott suspect Adam's been drugged by David as he's taken to the hospital after suffering another cardiac episode. Scott and Annie plead with Adam to keep the secret they've been trying to protect. Annie pulls out all the stops when Adam insists on coming forward with the truth - she tells him if he confesses then she and Scott will be charged as accessories AND he'll never know his child, since she's pregnant! Erica thinks she can get through to Adam after she and Ryan realize that Adam probably killed Stuart. After being confronted by Angie, David admits to having switched Adam's medication with drugs he fabricated but points out that Jesse, Zach and Ryan were also in on the plan - so if Angie exposes him, Jesse is exposed. Although extremely disappointed in the decisions Jesse's made, Angie offers to strike a deal with David in order to spare her husband: He must step down as chief-of-staff. Aidan's manipulations to keep Kendall and Zach apart fall short when Kendall calls Zach on his cell. Zach gets Liza to get him out of prison and goes to warn Kendall that the police tracked their call. Zach and Kendall share a quick moment together before Aidan must spirit her away so they don't get caught. Realizing they have to honor David's contract, Jake and Amanda fantasize about making love without actually doing so.

Annie finds Adam about to kill himself and talks him down. He questions why she didn't tell him the truth about Stuart's death, and she explains he wouldn't have been able to handle it, and was drugged at the time so he was sort of blameless. Erica and Ryan come upon them, so Annie pulls a gun on them and allows Scott and Adam to leave. Adam is shocked that Scott knew he was guilty. Scott explains to Adam that he doesn't want revenge for his father's murder, pointing out it would rip what's left of their family apart. Annie is later horrified when Adam says he's going to tell the authorities what he's remembered. Erica and Ryan agree that Annie's behavior at the cemetery was a bit odd. Jesse tries to get Annie to admit to the murder, but she won't say anything. Ryan wonders if maybe Annie didn't kill Stuart after all - maybe it was Adam. Aidan secretly deletes the message Zach sent Kendall assuring her their nightmare will be over soon. Pretending to be Kendall, Aidan sends a message to Zach, who senses something is a little off about it. Aidan later sends Kendall a message presumably from Zach. He's trying to drive them apart and limit communication between them. Tad points out to Marissa all the positive reasons for her and JR to have a baby. JR is hit hard by the news that his friend from the support group lost his battle with cancer. Marissa and Tad refuse to let JR push them away and start drinking again. JR learns he's in remission.

Adam remembers everything about the night of Stuart's murder - including how he was drugged and thought he was shooting himself [he felt guilty about the incident with baby Ian and almost being responsible for his death] and that the drugs made him so loopy he shot Stuart because he THOUGHT he was shooting himself. He also remembers Annie finding him, and plying him with more drugs to make him forget. Erica, Zach and Ryan press Adam to reveal what happened but he pulls a gun on them and then alerts security. Meanwhile, Scott pulls out of the kiss with Annie and accuses her of using him. She denies. Annie opens up to Scott as she explains why Adam is so important to her before they manage to get themselves out of the stalled elevator. Adam has an emotional breakdown at Stuart's grave as he recalls what he's done. Annie finds Adam at Stuart's grave as he's about to shoot himself.
