Emma is rushed to the hospital after falling down the stairs. Jakegives Ryan and Annie the bad news that Emma suffered a brain injury and needs surgery. Alone with Erica, Adam admits Emma ran into the stairwell trying to get away from him because she was afraid. Adam has another memory of the night of Stuart's murder. Aidan tells Jesse to throw the book at him for kidnapping Annie so that no one will suspect what's really going on. Jesse warns Aidan he could face some serious jail time if his plan backfires. Annie takes Scott aside for a private conversation, saying she'll reveal everything to him. Scott later tells Adam he knows Annie didn't kill Stuart. Zach and Kendall reaffirm their love for one another. Kendall listens to an incoming call on the answering machine and learns her importer in prison is being taken to the hospital after having been stabbed. Erica overhears Zach on the phone with Kendall - did she piece together that Kendall's secretly out of prison?

Emma swears to Ryan she did not kill Stuart. Emma wants to tell Ryan the secret she's been keeping but insists on seeing Annie first. Annie doesn't admit to much during Aidan's interrogation/kidnapping, but does admit she's sorry she hurt Aidan. Aidan, Zach and Kendall learn Emma will reveal Stuart's killer if she sees Annie, so Aidan takes a sedated Annie to Ryan's. Annie and Emma are reunited. Annie flies into Adam's arms when he arrives with Scott and Erica, accusing Aidan and Ryan of having kidnapped her. Adam won't believe Annie killed Stuart unless he hears it from Emma's mouth. Emma runs from the loft when she hears the adults arguing and ends up falling down the stairs. David surprises Amanda when he tells her he's made arrangements to have Trevor's christening performed that evening. Amanda insists that Jake be named Trevor's godfather and David reluctantly agrees. After the ceremony, Jake fears he, Amanda and Trevor will never be a family. David is confident Amanda will never leave him.

Adam fights the idea that Annie ran away but privately begins to suspect it could be the case. Adam sees a vision of Stuart, who urges him to remember what happened that fateful night. Adam realizes he must know something. Aidan begins interrogating Annie in the secret room, pushing her to her breaking point. Annie cryptically tells Aidan that she'll be left with nothing if she exposes the truth. Emma tells Ryan she didn't shoot Stuart after overhearing Ryan say Annie accused her of it. Jesse warns Zach that he's gone too far after figuring out he kidnapped Annie. Liza surprises Bailey and Colby when she asks Bailey to move in with them and be a part of Stuart's life.

Free to move about as she pleases, Annie pays Emma a visit, much to Ryan's annoyance. Ryan would like nothing more than to throttle Annie with his bare hands when she warns him that Emma could be implicated for murder if he doesn't let go of his vendetta. Adam hides his worry when Annie's late to meet him at the casino as planned but she later shows up. Zach, Kendall and Aidan come up with a plan to get the truth out of Annie. Adam grows worried once again when Annie is suddenly nowhere to be found. Aidan shows Zach the DVD's of Annie kissing JR and Scott. Zach, Aidan and Kendall hold Annie captive in the darkened, cell-like secret room they've created. JR and Marissa convince Colby to try and make amends with Liza. Colby goes to see Liza, who informs her she told Bailey the truth about Stuart. Colby questions Liza about whether or not she thinks Bailey will try to take Stuart away from them. Liza's heart sinks when she's served with legal papers from Bailey. Zach arranges a brief call between Kendall and Erica. Erica encourages Zach to team up with Ryan to clear Kendall, but Zach refuses. Erica tries to convince Ryan to do the same, but Ryan warns her that Emma could be hurt in the process and he can't risk that.

Jake apologizes to Amanda for hurting her and hopes they can get back what they once had. Amanda and Jake's relationship seems back on track and they make love. David comes home and realizes Jake slept with Amanda. He isn't pleased. Tad urges Liza to do the right thing and tell Bailey and Colby the truth about Stuart. Colby storms out when Liza reveals how she faked her pregnancy and adopted Stuart but claims she lied for all the right reasons. Liza sets up a meeting with Bailey, who holds her son for the first time. Liza tells Bailey that SHE was the one that adopted Bailey. Frankie and Madison get in a car accident while on their way to Oak Haven. Madison's injuries require her to be hospitalized but Frankie appears to be okay. At the hospital, Frankie assures Randi and Jesse that he didn't intentionally cause the accident. Frankie lies to Madison, telling her he has the key to her safety deposit box. Frankie explains to Randi that his feelings towards Madison have changed as he now has a better understanding of how damaged a person she really is. Jesse overhears Madison confessing to Frankie that she killed North. The key to the safety deposit box isn't among the evidence collected from the crash site.

Frankie sees Madison's genuine pain when her father comes to her hospital room and shows no sympathy as he berates her, accusing her of just making a play for attention. Frankie starts to see Madison in a new light after she reveals how miserable her life really is. Jesse and Angie enact their right to have Madison committed to Oak Haven for a psychological evaluation. On the way to Oak Haven, Madison offers Frankie the key to her safety deposit box containing the incriminating evidence against Randi. As Frankie looks at it, the two get into a car accident. Liza's deeply moved by Bailey's story as the young girl explains how she feels about having had to give up her son. However, she does not tell Bailey that she, Liza, adopted her son. Tad is incredulous and angry when Krystal tells him how she offered herself to David in exchange for him leaving Amanda alone. Tad doesn't see how he and Krystal can even think about trying to reconcile if David is still in the picture. Jake shows up at Wildwind to spend time with Amanda and Trevor.

Liza's greatest fear comes true when she's contacted by Bailey Welles, Stuart's birth mother, who implies she might want her child back. Bailey comes to see Liza and runs into Colby, who tells her where Liza is. Bailey shows up at the yacht club, where Liza is with baby Stuart. Krystal refuses to sit back and watch David destroy Amanda the same way he destroyed her. She essentially offers herself instead of Amanda, but Amanda tells Krystal to back off. Amanda and David share a nice lunch, where they run into Liza and Jake. It's totally awkward. Liza tries to advise Jake on how to handle the Amanda situation. Opal urges Krystal to fight for Tad. Krystal asks Tad if there's a chance they could try again, partly thinking that Jake and Amanda just need to see an example of a couple who survived David's machinations. Tad's dubious, so Krystal suggests total honesty and tells Tad that she just basically offered herself to David to keep him away from Amanda. Madison is rushed into the emergency room after overdosing on pills. Angie's dubious of Madison's claim that she was trying to kill herself. Madison offers to give Angie the tape incriminating Randi if Angie gives her enough pills to commit suicide. Frankie sees how troubled Madison is.

Liza delays D.A.Willis from seeing Kendall's imposter in jail. Liza manages to get a moment alone with Kendall's impersonator in prison and instructs her to act completely crazy in front of Willis to prevent being found out. Willis doesn't see her. Kendall bares her soul to Zach, admitting she lashes out because she's afraid she'll lose him. Kendall gives Liza her genuine thanks when Liza explains she was able to divert Willis. Zach and Kendall end up closer than they've been in a long time, as Zach tells Kendall that he loves her and wants to be with her! Krystal tries to get Amanda to see that David is manipulating her. Amanda refuses to believe that she's a victim of David. Amanda goes to the hospital to see Jake but they can't get past their differences - he is infuriated with the David situation. David stokes Jake's anger, and slowly grows closer to Amanda. Krystal tries to get Jake to reconcile with Amanda. Marissa shaves JR's head. Marissa defends JR when Adam assumes he's been drinking again, not realizing his son has cancer. Annie openly flirts with Scott. Scott wants to get Annie out of Adam's life, and tells JR he's going to do it.
